John Witte
President & CEO
John Witte leads the Carbon60 team in developing and executing the growth strategy to become the company of choice for enterprises demanding the highest levels of service for managed hosting and cloud computing solutions. John has over 30 years’ experience in business development and executive management where he has focused on achieving 100% customer satisfaction and profitable revenue growth for emerging IT companies. Prior to Carbon60 John was the country leader for Savvis Canada responsible for the Canadian region. Previously John was a member of the executive team at Fusepoint Managed Services where he was instrumental in expanding the business from $2M to a $50M industry leader in Canada within 7 years. John earned a BA, Economics from the University of Toronto and studied International Business at Ryerson University.
Ryan Smyth
EVP & CFO
Ryan Smyth joined the team in 2019, leading Carbon60’s finance organization, sales operations, corporate IT & security. Ryan has over 20 years experience in the technology sector where he has been actively involved in the successful completion of over 100 M&A transactions. In 2011, he co-founded Wireless Evolution Inc. and as CEO grew the business from $0 to over $100 million USD prior to negotiating a successful exit in 2018. Ryan is a CPA, holds a BBA from Simon Fraser University and is a graduate of the Harvard Business School General Management Program.
Rob Stevens
CRO
Rob joined Carbon60 as Chief Revenue Officer in 2021, leading the sales and marketing teams. Rob has enjoyed a successful 24 year career in IT most recently working at Amazon Web Services (AWS), SAP and Microsoft. Rob moved to Canada from the UK in 2005 with Microsoft to take up the role of role in accelerating growth for new and emerging Microsoft technologies. In his most recent role at AWS he led the global go to market efforts of the Management Tools and DevOps service categories.
Fred Bullock
SVP Business Solutions
Fred Bullock joined the Carbon60 team in 2019 as SVP of Business Solutions. Fred has been engaged in IT and entrepreneurial ventures for more than 25 years, including several IT firms offering network-based solutions and Software as a Service (SaaS). Most recently, Fred was Co-Founder and CEO of Cirrus9 (acquired by Carbon60 in 2019), a Canadian cloud computing and hosted solutions company based in Saint John, NB. Fred holds a B. Commerce & Engineering from Mount Allison University and an MScE from the University of New Brunswick.
Anton Mishel
SVP Professional Services
With 20 years of industry experience and a decade in executive leadership, Anton founded OpsGuru (acquired by Carbon60 in 2021) to help organizations cope with the challenges of a constantly evolving technical landscape. Prior to starting OpsGuru, Anton led the architecting and delivery of multiple Big Data and cloud-based platforms in roles that included CIO of Israel’s largest news portals, as well as CIO at one of the world’s leading genomics companies.
Jeff Azar
Chief Experience Officer
Jeff is a passionate leader who has over 20 years of experience building, running, and celebrating global Operations and Client Experience Teams. Prior to joining Carbon60, Jeff led the global cloud support and client advocacy teams for CenturyLink (formerly Savvis) where he was instrumental in rolling out a follow-the-sun support model for their flagship public cloud service offering. As a Net Promoter (NPS®) Certified Associate, Jeff takes great pride in building programs and processes that are fueled by direct client and employee feedback.
Bik Dutta
SVP, Cloud Managed Services
Bik leads Carbon60’s product management and pre-sales solution architect functions. Bik has over 20 years of success in the IT services sector with Canadian and global service providers. Prior to joining the team in 2016, Bik led strategy for Savvis Canada and brought significant cloud and data centre investments to the Canadian market. Previously, Bik led product management for Fusepoint covering hosting, colocation and managed services. Bik holds a MBA from York University.
Peter Kelly
CISO
Peter is the Chief Information Security Officer for Carbon60 overseeing compliance programs for our organization and providing expert guidance to customers on their complex security requirements. Peter was the original founder of Carbon60 (formerly ETS.net) as a consulting company in 1999 specializing in web application infrastructure and security services. Peter attended the University of Toronto with a concentration in Computer Science. He is co-author of the first publicly available commercial Open Source book for O’Reilly & Associates, “Using Samba”.
Troy MacVay
CTO
Troy MacVay joined Carbon60 in 2019 as part of the acquisition of Cirrus9 and assumed the role of Chief Technology Officer. As the CTO, he leads technical direction including strategy, architecture, and the evolution of current and future services. Troy also brings his vast senior technical leadership experience in advising some of the largest companies in Canada and the US on how to increase efficiency and agility while reducing risk. Prior senior technical leadership roles include Chief Technology Officer – Cirrus9, Director of Enterprise Cloud Solutions – OnX (Acquired by CBTS), and Founder of MikeTango / Tango Technology Group (Acquired by BlackIron Data).
Dave Lindon
General Manager – OpsGuru
Dave is responsible for the growth and development of OpsGuru. Since starting his career in telecommunications, Dave has transformed from Engineer to Consultant to Sales Leader. Dave joins OpsGuru from Google Cloud, where he managed technical sales for large-scale enterprises in Western Canada. He strives to enable organizations to realize true value from their cloud investments.
